Springfield Royal Country Club (part of the Springfield Village Golf & Spa) currently boasts 27 excellent holes of championship golf, as well as being one of Jack Nicklaus's earliest designs in Asia. The original Nicklaus layout comprises the A-nine (Mountain) and B-nine (Lake). The C-nine (Valley) was added later, and although newer and tighter in feel, still follows Nicklaus's lead with several water hazards in play, and plenty of threatening fairway and greenside bunkers. The Lake course is the most scenic and arguably has the strongest holes. The fabulous 3rd, 4th and 5th holes are all played around a good-sized lake, while the ever-present jungle-clad Phetchaburi hills seem to be at their most picturesque when viewed from this lakeside setting. Among many other wonderful golf holes, the par-3 17th (8th on Lake) is beautifully framed by stylish earthmounding and indigenous trees behind the green. The backdrop for the risk-reward par-5 18th, includes the pointed tops of the resort buildings, which you can admire while lining up your approach shot the 18th's island green. The Mountain course has the least amount of water in play, but it too is a thoroughly absorbing and challenging course, based on Nicklaus's excellent use of bunkering and sandy waste areas, earthmounding and trees lining many of the fairways. Water, prodigious bunkering and some tight drives all await on the Schmidt-Curley designed Valley course.

How2Get There?

24 km N of Hua Hin
Just north-west of Cha Am, route 4 splits into the old route 4 road to Cha Am / Hua Hin, and the Cha Am - Pranburi Bypass Road (also route 4). Take the Bypass Road. After approximately 10 km look out for golf entrance on your right.
