Blacklake Golf Resort: Located between Santa Maria and Pismo Beach, Blacklake Golf Resort is the Central Coast's only 27-hole golf resort. Laid out on the sand-blown terrain of the Nipomo Mesa, each of the three nines (Lakes, Canyons and Oaks) offers a distinct challenge to golfers of all skill levels.
Like its near neighbours, Monarch Dunes and Cypress Ridge, the Blacklake layout weaves its way around and through a housing development. From water pools and scenic coastal hills on the original Lakes and Canyon nines, to the unspoiled natural beauty of the newest and shortest nine, the Oaks, this is a challenging and enjoyable golf course.

The sand-based landform that is the Nipomo Mesa, on which Blacklake Golf Resort is located, was formed by westerly winds blowing and forming sand dunes over tens of thousands of years. Black Lake canyon, just north of the eponymous golf course, is an east-west ravine that bisects the upper third of the mesa from the lower two-thirds. Within this canyon bogs and swampland contrast with the relatively dry sandy soil that makes up most of the mesa.
