Country Club of Hilton Head

4-star: Above average course - well worth a visit.

Est. 1988

Country Club of Hilton Head: There is plenty of woodland, marshland and residential property around this course to ensure an ever-changing environment that will hold your interest from start to finish. The front-9 features towering pines sheltering the course-side real estate, while the back-9 feels more natural, with the 12th hole being the star of the show. Your drive will bring you to the highest point on Hilton Head Island, and then gently brings you down to the Intracoastal Waterway, in front of which sits the 12th green. The par-3 14th, with water between tee and green, also has nice views of Port Royal Sound - but women golfers may be less than thrilled with a meagre 70-yard tee-to-green shot at this hole. You'll not feel too "crowded" here by trees or water, so plenty of opportunities for using the big-timber from the tee.
