Eagle's Pointe Golf Club

3-PLUS: Good course - several memorable features; worthy of 3½ stars.

Est. 1998

Eagle's Pointe Golf Club: this "off-island" golf courses in the Hilton Head Island area, commands a solid reputation with both local and visiting golfers. This said, maintenance standards have been known to vary under different owners since the Club's emergence onto the South Carolina Lowcountry golfing scene in 1998.

Davis Love III's design offers a true and fair test of golf, with many holes routed through pristine woodland. The layout generally features wide, well-defined fairways, dramatic bunkering and undulating greens - all surrounded by the area's native grasses and towering pines.

"Billy" Bell), Winged Foot (1921; Albert W. Tillinghast) and Seminole (1929; Donald Ross).
