Oyster Reef Golf Club

4-star: Above average course - well worth a visit.

Est. 1982

Oyster Reef Golf Club: With great upkeep, a really strong design and a most pleasing woodland environment, where the real estate is not intrusive, Oyster Reef is a joy to play and an excellent test of your golfing skills. Apart from the two back-nine par-3's, water is not a major issue here, but negotiating the significant green-side bunkering and the large, slick, superbly maintained greens, will determine whether you score well or not. The par-3 6th is the signature hole, commanding excellent views over Port Royal Sound. To visitors this is perhaps one of the lesser known names on Hilton Heads golfing panoply, but its definitely one of the Island's finest pearls.

Latest Golf Course Reviews

Traigh Golf Course (pronounced "try", and meaning "beach" in Gaelic): You'll find this nine-hole seaside gem on the scenic coast road (as opposed to the more inland and quicker A830) between Arisaig and Morar. Although not on the well-beaten path of Scotland's "trophy" courses, if you are passing through this area, it's a must play.
