Palmetto Dunes (Trent Jones)
Robert Trent Jones Course at Palmetto Dunes: Contrasts and variety are in store as you set out onto the very enjoyable Robert Trent Jones Oceanfront course at Palmetto Dunes. From the green of the 10th hole and the 11th tee-box you can enjoy views directly onto the Atlantic Ocean. For some of the front-nine you play alongside Hilton Head's main highway (the 278). In keeping with the rest of the course, these roadside holes are well-laid out and the road is not overly intrusive (although passing traffic maybe at risk from seriously hooked tee shots, at least on one or two holes). The more interesting and some might say more challenging back-nine is played alongside (and at times across) a wide lagoon, where the fairways are generally a good-width, even if things appear a bit taunting from the tee. One of Hilton Head's most popular venues, and rightly so.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.
Must book in advance.
