Keystone (River)
The River Course at Keystone is a well-rated and pleasantly testing layout. The Hurdzan/Fry design comprises a flatter front-nine oriented around the Snake River. In contrast the back-nine winds through an attractive lodgepole pine forest. This tree-lined and mountain style course should not disappoint, with many attractive features and several excellent holes to enjoy.
Impressive elevation changes, threatening bunkering and water hazards all play their part in providing plenty of golfing challenge. Usually good upkeep also contributes to the appeal of this well-crafted design. One to include on your play list if you are in the area.
Pick of the holes: the memorable closing stretch includes the long par-4 16th, featuring a 194-foot elevation drop from tee to green. The scenic par-5 18th is awash with bunkers, and also provides wonderful views of Lake Dillon.

French Open: Continental Europe’s oldest national championship, dating from 1906, is once again staged on the Albatros Course at Le Golf National, near Paris. Defending champion is America’s Michael Kim. (Sept 24-27).
Our visit last month included two rounds at Golf de Chantilly, one of France’s most prestigious clubs.
It offers two superb layouts: Le Vineuil, a five-star championship course with a rich history, and Longères, an excellent four-star course that provides a strong and enjoyable test.

Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf. Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour. The three nine-hole loops at Prince's, laid out over gently undulating terrain, are sure to bring a smile of satisfaction to all lovers of links golf.
