The four 18-hole layouts at Streamsong Resort are: Red course (par-72, 7110 yds from back tees, rating 74.3, designed by Bill Coore & Ben Crenshaw, est 2012); Blue course (par-72, 7276 yds, by Tom Doak, 2012). Black course (par-73, 7320 yds, by Gil Hanse & Jim Wagner, 2017); Bone Valley course (par-72, 7190 yds, rating 74.7, by David McLay-Kidd, 2027).
Also at Streamsong is the Coore-Crenshaw designed 19-hole "The Chain" short course (2023); it comprises a six-hole loop (The Link, 834 yds from back tees) and a 13-hole loop (The Chain, 2161 yds) of predominantly short par-3 style holes.
The Red and Blue courses share the same clubhouse, separate from which, the Black and Bone Valley courses also share a clubhouse. The Chain is based at the Resort Lodging centre.

Streamsong (Blue)
Streamsong Resort (Blue course):for many years in the early-2000s, new high-end golf course developments were something of a rarity. Streamsong bucked the trend, launching a stunning suite of world-class designs. First up in 2012 was the Red course, created by Bill Coore & Ben Crenshaw, and Tom Doak's Blue course. The resort has since added the Black course (by Gil Hanse) and Bone Valley course (by David McLay-Kidd). There's also Coore-Crenshaw's excellently crafted 19-hole short course on which to hone your skills.
The Tom Doak designed Blue course is reputedly the easier-going of the two original Streamsong layouts. However, the Blue makes up for its wider fairways and less water in play, with one or two blind tee shots, and large exuberantly undulating greens.
The Red and Blue courses are on a roughly equal footing regarding the amount of undulation and elevation change, and both have an abundance of voracious bunkers and sandy waste areas. On occasions both courses leave the towering dunes, taking you through grassy plains and a more savanna-like environment.
Pick of the holes: the par-3 7th is most people's favourite hole on the Blue, and the most photographed on the property. Himalayan dunes surround the back and sides of the green, while water must be crossed 'twixt tee and green. This delightful one-shotter is played in a picturesquely secluded area between the sand dunes.

The Streamsong Resort was developed by the long-time owners of the land, The Mosaic Company, the largest U.S. producer of potash and phosphate fertiliser. The golf courses are built on the site of a former Mosaic phosphate strip mine.
The course names at Streamsong (particularly for the Red and Blue layouts) were apparently chosen based on the colour of the ink used by the designers when drawing the respective course routings on the same map.

French Open: Continental Europe’s oldest national championship, dating from 1906, is once again staged on the Albatros Course at Le Golf National, near Paris. Defending champion is America’s Michael Kim. (Sept 24-27).
Our visit last month included two rounds at Golf de Chantilly, one of France’s most prestigious clubs.
It offers two superb layouts: Le Vineuil, a five-star championship course with a rich history, and Longères, an excellent four-star course that provides a strong and enjoyable test.

Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf. Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour. The three nine-hole loops at Prince's, laid out over gently undulating terrain, are sure to bring a smile of satisfaction to all lovers of links golf.
