Windsor Parke Golf Club: "scenic" differences beyond the course characterise the front and back nines of Arthur Hills' excellent design here at Windsor Parke. Regarded as one of the best "accessible" courses in the Jacksonville area, the layout's more suburban and residential front-nine gives way to a back-nine with an eclectic scenic mix.
The enjoyably challenging front-nine, weaves its way past several small lakes, with residential housing set well back from the course. There's plenty of water in play on both nines, although serious fairway and greenside bunkering is largely absent.
After a pleasant "woodland" stretch starts the back-nine, the remaining holes scoot past apartment buildings, offices, schools, roads and the like, providing reminders of the busting world beyond the tranquility of the course itself.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.

French Open: Continental Europe’s oldest national championship, dating from 1906, is once again staged on the Albatros Course at Le Golf National, near Paris. Defending champion is America’s Michael Kim. (Sept 24-27).
Our visit last month included two rounds at Golf de Chantilly, one of France’s most prestigious clubs.
It offers two superb layouts: Le Vineuil, a five-star championship course with a rich history, and Longères, an excellent four-star course that provides a strong and enjoyable test.

Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf. Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour.
