Manele
Manele Golf Course (formerly known as Challenge at Manele) is one of the top-rated and finest championship layouts in the Hawaiian Islands. The excellent tree-lined and open parkland course contains a wealth of wonderfully crafted, memorable and challenging holes.
The course roams over several hundred acres of natural lava outcroppings, weaving between Kiawe and wild Llima trees. Laid out on the side of a hill above the ocean, every hole provides stunning views of the Pacific Ocean.
Many tee shots require a canyon to be crossed before reaching the safety of the generally good-width fairways. At the signature par-3 12th hole, you tee-off from a cliff set above the ocean, taking dead aim at the green, located on another cliff.
Stay&Play at Manele: luxury onsite accommodation available, see Where2Stay section below.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.
Must book in advance.

Known as Pineapple Island (it was home to a former island-wide pineapple plantation), Lānai is the sixth-largest island of the Hawaiian Islands group, and the smallest of the publicly accessible islands. The small town of Lānai City is the island's only settlement of any size.
Hawaii's 2nd best course (Golf Digest, 2023/24).
USA's 140th best course, and 22nd best public access course (Golf Digest, 2023).

Walker Cup: the 50th playing of this prestigious men’s amateur event sees the GB&I go head-to-head against the defending USA team at Cypress Point Club, California (Sept 6-7). After that, all eyes turn to Bethpage State Park on Long Island, NY, where the American and defending European professional teams engage in the 45th Ryder Cup (Sept 27-29).
Lottie Woad: 21-year-old Woad burst onto the professional scene in July, with wins in the Women’s Irish Open (as an amateur) and three weeks later in the Women’s Scottish Open (as a professional). She nearly picked-up a major championship, placing third in The Evian in the same month.
Pádraig Harrington: the ever-likeable Irishman added the (British) Senior Open Championship title to his stellar array of tournament successes. His win came on Sunningdale’s spectacular Old Course. Harrington had already bagged the U.S. Senior Open title in June this year.
