Bay Harbor
The wonderfully scenic Bay Harbor Golf Club, which looks out onto Lake Michigan's Little Traverse Bay, is home to a 27-hole championship golf course that ranks with some of the best in Michigan. All three nines (Links, Quarry and Preserve) run parallel with the Bay, but it's the Links-Quarry combination that generally garners the highest accolades.
The nine-hole loop of the Links course serves-up many stunning bay views, as well as an excellently crafted collection of testing golf holes ... many of them directly bayside. The very contrasting Quarry-nine has its own take on dramatic and scenic holes. Much of this nine is laid out in a former quarry, where testing par-4s will challenge your accuracy from the tees and your approaches to the greens. The closing duo, like several holes on the Links-nine, offer wonderful vistas as you play directly alongside the bay.
Although played away from the clubhouse in a predominantly tree-lined parkland setting, the Preserve-nine also closes out with a scenic bayside hole, the short par-4 9th. This scenic, frequently dramatic, and always challenging course is a must play if you are in the area.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends during golf season (April thru' mid-Oct).
Must book in advance.
Credit cards accepted. Contact club for full details, discounts, packages, etc. [Last updated: 2018].
Non-metal spike facility. Golf carts compulsory. Golf carts are fitted with GPS.
