Boyne Highlands Resort (Moor course)

4-star: Above average course - well worth a visit.

Est. 1974

Boyne Highlands Resort (Moor course): Located a few miles north of Harbor Springs in Northern Michigan, Boyne Highlands is home to no less than four championship golf courses: the highly rated Heather course, the Arthur Hills, the Donald Ross Memorial course and the Moor layout. With the Robert Trent Jones Jr designed Heather course as the standard bearer, Boyne Highlands is recognised as one of Michigan's best quality golf venues.

The four courses provide a wonderful test for your all-round game with many excellent holes to enjoy. Designed with numerous twists and turns, the front-nine of The Moor favours faders of the ball, with holes 1, 2, 7 and 9 showing their curves immediately off the tee. The back-nine opens with one of the most challenging par-4 holes at Boyne Highlands - a tight driving hole with three separate ponds situated on the left and right sides of the fairway, and another immediately in front of the green. The snaking par-5 18th is another testing hole, keeping the challenge alive with one last water hazard to clear.

Stay&Play: nearby accommodation (2.5 mi) is available in the Boyne Highlands Resort centre (see Where2Stay section below).
