Did you know?

Like Firestone and NCR Country Clubs, Fowler's Mill was originally a corporate-sponsored course, owned by the business conglomerate TRW (Thompson Ramo Wooldridge Inc). Known as the TRW course, the layout was designed and built in 1969-71 by brothers Pete and Roy Dye, and eventually sold in 1986 to American Golf Corp. The new owners wanted a new name for the course and settled on that of a historic local building, Fowler's Mill. The mill was the last surviving gristmill (flour mill) in the area, and was originally one of many "Fowler's Mills" established in the 1830s by Milo Fowler and his brother Hiram.
