The Club at Carlton Woods

Private: A course for members and their invited guests only.

Est. 2001

The Club at Carlton Woods is home to two top-quality championship courses, designed by two peerless designers. The Jack Nicklaus Signature course became home to an LPGA major championship in 2023. Located four miles to the south in the Carlton Woods Creekside community, the Tom Fazio Championship course reinforces this private club's reputation for excellence.

Sitting between The Woodlands Country Club's Palmer course to the east, and Player course to the west, Carlton Woods' Nicklaus course opened in 2001 to enthusiastic reviews. The immaculately groomed and generous-width landing areas wind their way between lakes aplenty, and attractive tree-lined parkland. Any real estate around the layout's perimeter is unobtrusive, set well back, and opulently large!

Surrounded by pristine woodland, and occasional high-end housing, Carlton Woods' Fazio layout stretches out to 7,358 yards from the tips. Sitting alongside the bluffs of Spring Creek, the course offers extravagant bunkering, subtle undulations, and one or two more dramatic elevation changes.

Limited access: these private courses are generally playable only by members and their invited guests.

The Chevron Championship, an LPGA major championship, relocated for the 2023 and subsequent editions from its traditional home in California, to the Nicklaus course here at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, Texas.

The Chevron was previously known as the Colgate Dinah Shore Winners Circle (1972-81), Nabisco Dinah Shore (1982-2001), Kraft Nabisco Championship (2002-14) and then ANA Inspiration (2015-21). All these earlier editions were played on the Dinah Shore Tournament course at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California. The championship always ended with the winner and her entourage taking a victory leap into the famed "Poppie's Pond", alongside the 18th green.
