Samson Links
FLC Samson Golf Links: This well-regarded Nicklaus design is laid out on a peninsula of land that offers east-facing views onto the East Vietnam Sea and north-facing onto the Ma River delta. The course's exposed position ensures unpredictable winds blow across the links-style design ... as would be the case on any self-respecting British seaside links.
The layout's links-style credentials, with rolling fairways and hard, fast conditions, are slightly compromised by the presence of five ponds and small lakes, which frequently bring water into play.
Stay&Play at Samson Links: luxury onsite accommodation available, see Where2Stay section below.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends. Closed on Mondays.
Must book in advance.

FLC Samson Beach & Golf Resort is part of one of the biggest holiday and resort areas in north-central Vietnam. In addition to the golf course, there are a number of 4 and 5-star hotels (including FLC's own Resort and Grand hotels), dining options in abundance, and many popular beaches.
The FLC Group, a large Vietnamese real estate investment and development company, now owns and operates several golf and resort facilities spread along Vietnam's east coast. From north to south, you'll find FLC Ha Long Bay (a luxury resort not too far from Hanoi and Hai Phong), FLC Samson Links (another luxury resort three hours drive south of Hanoi), FLC Quang Binh (an intended mega-resort near Dong Ha on the way down to Da Nang), and FLC Quy Nhon (a beach and golf resort well south of Da Nang).

Lottie Woad: 21-year-old Woad burst onto the professional scene in July, with wins in the Women’s Irish Open (as an amateur) and three weeks later in the Women’s Scottish Open (as a professional). She nearly picked-up a major championship, placing third in The Evian in the same month.
Pádraig Harrington: the ever-likeable Irishman added the (British) Senior Open Championship title to his stellar array of tournament successes. His win came on Sunningdale’s spectacular Old Course. Harrington had already bagged the U.S. Senior Open title in June this year.
