Matt Dye is the son of Roy and Ann Dye (née Hayes), and a member of the famous Dye family of golf course designers. Legendary designer Pete Dye is Matt's uncle. Matt worked as a greens construction specialist for many years, alongside his uncle Pete and cousin Perry. He developed his interest in all aspects of golf course design and became a well-respected consultant, designing several of his own courses. Matt died in 2008 after battling colon cancer.

Scottie Scheffler: narrowly missed out on matching Nelly Korda's five wins in five starts, when he placed second at the Houston Open. Either side of that, he won The Arnold Palmer, The Players, and then The Masters and The Heritage.
