From the Antwerp - Hasselt motorway (A13-E313) take exit 23 (Geel / Mol) and follow the N19 direction Geel and then Mol. After 4.2 km at roundabout turn right onto the N71 direction Mol. After 16.2 km turn left onto the N712 direction Rauw / Zilverstrand. After 2.1 km turn right into golf.
Kempense Golf Club: Laid out on relatively flat terrain, an eclectic mix of strong and some more eccentric golf holes make-up this always challenging parkland layout. You will need to deploy good course management and careful shot-making to pick your way through the ever-present watery threats en route to the relative safety of the large and sloping greens.
Most of the holes here at Kempense require precision rather than power from the tee. Water is a constant danger, ominously present on over half the holes, and usually taking the form of small ponds in front of greens or fairway-hugging ditches ( ... at the stroke index 1 hole, the par-4 3rd, you have both to contend with). If water is not lurking somewhere, then Out-of-Bounds and/or thick bushes might be preying on your mind as you tee-it up.
Mixed in with many good holes are others that could leave you somewhat puzzled, especially on a first outing. The short and sharply dog-legging 10th and 15th, both par-4s, are never easy, and the match-winning (or card-wrecking) 18th can catch-out even the most experienced Kempense club member ... let alone first-time visitor. With so much water around, the course can get a bit "heavy" during the wetter parts of winter.

Kempense takes its name from the region of Kempen (Campine in English), which straddles parts of north-eastern Belgium and south-eastern Netherlands. The Campine once consisted mainly of moorland, tracts of sandy heath and wetlands. The city of Turnhout is regarded as the region's capital.
Today the Campine is a popular tourist destination for those in search of a quiet and relaxing weekend. Bed & Breakfast accommodation in former farms, together with restaurants and cafés maintain a thriving business, while an extensive cycle touring network has also been established in recent years.

Sony Open in Hawaii: played at Waialae Country Club near Honolulu, the Sony Open takes over the spotlight from The Sentry as the PGA Tour’s calendar-year opening event (Jan 15-18). The Sentry (not being played in 2026) was formerly known as the Tournament of Champions, with a field typically restricted to golfers who won a PGA Tour event in the previous calendar year.
Dubai Desert Classic: the DP World Tour’s first Rolex Series event of 2026, is contested for the 37th time (Jan 22-25). First won by Englishman Mark James in 1989, it now boasts a four-time winner, Rory McIlroy. Played on the Emirates Golf Club’s Majlis course, this once desert-surrounded course is the long-time flagship for Golf in Dubai.
Our visit last month included two rounds at Golf de Chantilly, one of France’s most prestigious clubs.
It offers two superb layouts: Le Vineuil, a five-star championship course with a rich history, and Longères, an excellent four-star course that provides a strong and enjoyable test.
The wider Paris region offers plenty more. Courses such as Fontainebleau, Golf de Saint-Germain, and several other top-rated layouts make this area one of Europe’s most rewarding golf destinations, offering a mix of woodland, heathland, and parkland designs.

Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf. Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour. The three nine-hole loops at Prince's, laid out over gently undulating terrain, are sure to bring a smile of satisfaction to all lovers of links golf.
