Scandinavian, The (New)
The Scandinavian Golf Club (New course): like peas in a pod, both the Old and New championship courses at The Scandinavian lay down a thorough test for your golfing skills in a wonderfully natural golfing environment. The Old may be a little more open, the New a tad more tree-lined, but their DNA is essentially the same. Both courses are rated in the country's Top 5, and both are supported by excellent practice facilities, a fully-equipped academy, and a fabulous award-winning clubhouse.
The rifle-straight short par-5 opening hole on The Scandinavian's New course provides adequate confirmation of what you may have heard from members ... this is a tighter and more tree-lined test of golf than the more open and expansive Old course. That said, the New also offers many wonderfully crafted and stylishly bunkered holes. Water is in play on about half of them, not least at the short par-5 18th, played to what is virtually an island green. There's several long and at times intimidating drives to be made. Some require good length carries, others need to navigate past threatening water hazards, not least at the very testing long par-4 6th.
Within the New course's two nine-hole loops, you'll find an excellent variety of holes, mostly tree-lined, but some in more open rolling terrain. The layout includes a wonderful collection of short holes, arguably more varied than on the Old course. Whereas the par-3 9th seriously brings water into play, the short 2nd and mid-length 13th are wonderfully photogenic par-3s ... as handsomely crafted as you'll find on the property ... or elsewhere in Denmark come to that.
Pick of the holes: Amongst the more "characterful" holes, the par-4 11th takes a sharp dogleg left, before demanding an accurate approach along a gun-barrel fairway and onto the two-tier green. A little gem of a hole, provided you get your tee shot into the right position.

These have been collected by the club's owners, and are displayed to provoke thought, discussion and the opportunity to take a step back from your golf round ... good or bad as it may have been.
European Tour professional and leading Danish player Søren Kjeldsen has made The Scandinavian his golfing home. Søren turned pro in 1995, qualified for the European Tour via the Challenge Tour in 1997 and has been part of the Tour ever since. In 2016, he and Thorbjørn Olesen became the first Danish winners of the much-prized World Cup of Golf.

Nelly Korda: records a perfect start to 2024 with four wins out of her last four appearances on the LPGA Tour, a feat last achieved by Lorena Ochoa in 2008. Korda's win at the T-Mobile Match Play brought up her 12th LPGA Tour victory.
Scottie Scheffler: narrowly missed out on matching Nelly Korda’s three-in-three, when he placed second at the Houston Open. This followed back-to-back wins at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players. Like Korda, he remains comfortably ahead in the official world golf rankings.

Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf. Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour.
