Buckinghamshire Golf Club: Located on the western outskirts of Greater London, the Buckinghamshire is a relatively new and open parkland golf course owned by the Japanese Asahi Breweries.
The terrain here is relatively flat, and provides a pleasant natural environment for this fair but challenging layout. The rivers Colne and Misbourne make occasional forays into the course, ensuring that several water hazards come into play alongside fairways or in front of the well-paced greens.
With generally good-width fairways there is sufficient room to stay out of trouble, but the water hazards, which mainly come into play in the middle section of the course, as well as excellent bunkering thoughout, will constantly test and probe your course management skills.
John Jacobs has created a thoroughly absorbing golfing challenge with several memorable holes, while the green-keeping staff ensure the year-round quality of the playing conditions.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.
Must book in advance. Handicap required.

Denham Court Mansion is now The Buckinghamshire's beautiful and historic clubhouse, a Grade II listed English manor house of predominantly eighteenth century origin (although part of the building is over 700 hundred years old).
Once the home to the Bowyer family, the house is situated in a wonderful riverside setting surrounded by landscaped gardens and 226 acres of wooded parkland. The house has been splendidly renovated in recent years by The Buckinghamshire's japanese owners.
