From the D98 (Ste Maxime - Toulon road) just south of Port Grimaud, take the D98a, direction St Tropez. After approx 1.5 km, turn south onto the D61, direction Gassin. After approx o.5 km turn left at golf club sign, and follow road to Gatehouse.
Golf Club Saint-Tropez (formerly known as Gassin Golf & Country Club): Tucked away behind a small coastal range of hills, the course occupies a wonderfully quiet and scenic position. The famous quay and bustling centre of St Tropez lie just 3 km to the north-east. From its hillside hideaway, the course commands fabulous vistas onto forested hills and ridges, with the medieval villages of Gassin and Ramatuelle frequently in view.
At times open, at others more bush and tree-lined, the layout roams freely across unspoilt undulating natural terrain. Gifted with great skill and imagination, Gary Player has sculpted a layout that fully challenges golfers of all abilities.
The significant elevation changes, less pronounced on the lower front-nine, give rise to many elevated tees and greens. The plunging par-3 17th and equally dramatic downhill (and for some drivable!) par-4 18th are two of the most memorable holes. The short and tight par-4 13th uniquely offers a stunning view out across the Bay of St Tropez.
While constantly maintaining a sense of fairness, the course also provides some exciting risk-reward opportunities for the better player. A small exclusive development of luxury homes is located close to the impressive Provencal-style clubhouse. Overall, one of the Côte d'Azur's finest and most scenic layouts.

The nearby town of Saint-Tropez needs very little introduction. Long popular with artists, it became the summer home of the international "jet set" in the 1960s, and remains a hugely popular beach and nightlife destination. The cobblestoned La Ponche quarter recalls the town's past as a fishing village, although luxury yachts now outnumber fishing boats in the Old Port.

Lottie Woad: 21-year-old Woad burst onto the professional scene in July, with wins in the Women’s Irish Open (as an amateur) and three weeks later in the Women’s Scottish Open (as a professional). She nearly picked-up a major championship, placing third in The Evian in the same month.
Pádraig Harrington: the ever-likeable Irishman added the (British) Senior Open Championship title to his stellar array of tournament successes. His win came on Sunningdale’s spectacular Old Course. Harrington had already bagged the U.S. Senior Open title in June this year.
