From N85 take exit Sophia Antipolis and follow D35 direction Antibes. After 1.6 km turn left at roundabout and immediatialy right into Golf Cannes Mougins.
Golf de Cannes-Mougins is home to a championship golf course that ranks with some of the best in southern France. This Peter Alliss/Clive Clark design is located in a splendid woodland environment, where one good hole follows another in an uncomplicated out-and-back design.
Generally good-width fairways lead you to large and fast greens. If your game hasn't held together by the 14th hole, just look back towards the high Alps for that little bit of extra inspiration. At the 18th you play directly alongside the club's wonderful rustic stone0built clubhouse. Interesting to note this former oil mill dates back to the 17th century. A roman-style aqueduct, the arches of which we can still be seen, brought water to the mill.
The likes of Seve Ballesteros and Ian Woosnam no doubt enjoyed their European Tour wins here at Cannes-Mougins. Certainly not a course to miss when you are on the Cote D'Azur, and perhaps one whose charms will have you coming back time and time again.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.
Must book in advance. Maximum handicap: 36. Proof of handicap required.
Players generally walk this course. Golf carts available for hire.

Although established in 1977, Golf de Cannes-Mougins' origins can be found in the Cannes Country Club, which was founded in 1923 by the likes of the Aga Khan, Prince Pierre of Monaco and Baron Edouard de Rothschild. The club's fortunes fluctuated over the years, until a significant relaunch in 1977, with a completely redesigned golf course (by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark) opening the following year.
Cannes-Mougins has hosted many top level tournaments including the European Tour's Cannes Open (see our Tournaments section >by Venue >Cannes-Mougins).
