Berliner Golf Club Gatow is home to a good quality golf course, popular with local golfers. The tree-lined and open parkland layout contains a variety of attractive holes and features, ensuring an enjoyable test of golf at a generally affordable rate. Worth a visit if you are in the area and have some time to spare.
The club was established in 1969 by the Royal Air Force, and is located at the western edge of Berlin in the suburb of Spandau/Kladow. Today's course consists of eight "old" holes that were part of the original British design (holes 1, 2 and 13 through 18). In 2001 ten "new" holes were added (holes 3 through 12), completing the 18-hole course that is now in play. All the greens and green complexes were rebuilt in 2004-5.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.
Must book in advance. Proof of handicap required. Maximum handicap: 36 men & women.

Lottie Woad: 21-year-old Woad burst onto the professional scene in July, with wins in the Women’s Irish Open (as an amateur) and three weeks later in the Women’s Scottish Open (as a professional). She nearly picked-up a major championship, placing third in The Evian in the same month.
Pádraig Harrington: the ever-likeable Irishman added the (British) Senior Open Championship title to his stellar array of tournament successes. His win came on Sunningdale’s spectacular Old Course. Harrington had already bagged the U.S. Senior Open title in June this year.
