Cars are transported onto the island of Sylt by car-trains that run from Niebüll on the mainland. The trains are operated by Autozug Sylt (the Blue Train) and the Sylt Shuttle by Deutsche Bahn (DB).

Marine Golf Club - Sylt: although often regarded as the No.2 course on the island of Sylt, behind Budersand Sylt, Marine offers an enjoyable "links-style" golfing experience in a quiet and open setting. Ken Moodie's expansive design has tranformed what was relatively flat terrain (originally used as an airfield), into a gently rolling layout with many characteristics of a Scottish links.
Stylish revetted bunkering gives good definition to several holes, as well as posing some challenges around the large and sloping greens. Greenside run-off areas will also test your short game. A mischievous water ditch wanders through the par-5 11th and 18th holes.
Amongst the course's two nine-hole loops, you'll discover more rolling undulation than at first appears. The layout's links-style credentials are underscored with plenty of pointy-topped "dunes" supplementing the natural ebb and flow of the terrain. Well worth a visit if you have made the journey out to the wonderful island of Sylt.
Pick of the holes: the par-3 16th presents a classic links par-3. You play gently uphill to an elevated green guarded by bunkers left and right, the flag pointing skyward.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.

The island of Sylt is part of the North Frisian Islands in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein. The island group also includes the Danish Wadden Sea Islands on the western coast of Jutland. Sylt is mainly noted for tourism, which is a product of its coastal location, healthy climate and the many German celebrities who own houses there. The island boasts three links golf courses - Budersand Sylt, Marine GC - Sylt, and Golf-Club Sylt.
