Second-placed Luna Sobrón (Esp) and Esme Hamilton (Eng) finished 2 shots behind 25-year-old Casandra Alexander (RSA), who recorded her first Ladies European Tour win in her 81st start on the Tour. Splitting first and second place prize money, and winning €24,000 each, second-placed Klara Spilkova (Czech) and Nicole Broch Estrup (Den) finished 1 shot behind 24-year-old Jana Melichova (Czech, amateur). Recording her first LET win in her fifth start on the Tour, Melichova became only the second Czech winner on the Ladies European Tour, after Spilkova, who took second place in this event. Second-placed Nuria Iturrioz (Esp) finished 1 shot behind 18-year-old Atthaya "Jeeno" Thitikul (Thai), who claimed her first Ladies European Tour win as a professional. As an amateur, Thitikul had already recorded two LET victories, both coming in her native Thailand, in 2017 and 2019. [Beroun GC, Beroun, nr Prague, Czech Republic; now called Royal Beroun].

Played as the inaugural Tipsport Czech Ladies Open (Aug 23-25). Second-placed Charlotte Thompson (Eng), Hayley Davis (Eng), Anais Meyssonnier (Fra) and Sanna Nuutinen (Fin) finished 1 shot behind Carly Booth (Scot). [Karlštejn Golf Resort, Liten, Central Bohemia].
Women’s (British) Open: the last women’s major championship of the season is hosted by Royal Porthcawl GC. It’s the first time this fabulous seaside links course has hosted the event (July 31-Aug 3).
Walker Cup: the 50th playing of this prestigious men’s amateur event sees the GB&I go head-to-head against the defending USA team at Cypress Point Club, California (Sept 6-7). After that, all eyes turn to Bethpage State Park on Long Island, NY, where the American and defending European professional teams engage in the 45th Ryder Cup (Sept 27-29).
Lottie Woad: 21-year-old Woad burst onto the professional scene in July, with wins in the Women’s Irish Open (as an amateur) and three weeks later in the Women’s Scottish Open (as a professional). She nearly picked-up a major championship, placing third in The Evian in the same month.
Pádraig Harrington: the ever-likeable Irishman added the (British) Senior Open Championship title to his stellar array of tournament successes. His win came on Sunningdale’s spectacular Old Course. Harrington had already bagged the U.S. Senior Open title in June this year.
