LIV Golf Invitational Series Individual Champion (based on points awarded for top-24 finishes in LIV Golf's thirteen 2025 individual events).
Winner: Although not winning a LIV individual event in 2025, Jon Rahm (Esp) won the season-long LIV Individual Championship, with 226.16 accumulated points. He collected the $18 million champion's bonus for the second straight year.
Second and third: Despite winning five LIV individual events in 2025, Joaquín Niemann (Chile) came second, with 223.68 pts ($8 million bonus). Bryson DeChambeau (USA) was third with 144.74 pts ($4 million bonus).
Note: the thirteen LIV Golf 2025 individual events were run by the Saudi Arabian-bankrolled LIV Golf company.

Talor Gooch (USA) won with 192 accumulated points and collected the champion's win bonus of $18 million. Cameron Smith (Aus) was second with 170 pts, worth $10 million; third was Brooks Koepka (USA), 152 pts, who collected a $4 million bonus. Note: the thirteen 2023 "Invitational Series" individual events were run by Greg Norman's Saudi Arabian-bankrolled LIV Golf company.

Dustin Johnson (USA) won with 135 accumulated points and collected the champion's win bonus of $18 million. Branden Grace (RSA) was second with 79 pts, worth $8 million; third was Peter Uihlein (USA), also 79 pts, who collected a $4 million bonus.

Sony Open in Hawaii: played at Waialae Country Club near Honolulu, the Sony Open takes over the spotlight from The Sentry as the PGA Tour’s calendar-year opening event (Jan 15-18). The Sentry (not being played in 2026) was formerly known as the Tournament of Champions, with a field typically restricted to golfers who won a PGA Tour event in the previous calendar year.
Dubai Desert Classic: the DP World Tour’s first Rolex Series event of 2026, is contested for the 37th time (Jan 22-25). First won by Englishman Mark James in 1989, it now boasts a four-time winner, Rory McIlroy. Played on the Emirates Golf Club’s Majlis course, this once desert-surrounded course is the long-time flagship for Golf in Dubai.
Our visit last month included two rounds at Golf de Chantilly, one of France’s most prestigious clubs.
It offers two superb layouts: Le Vineuil, a five-star championship course with a rich history, and Longères, an excellent four-star course that provides a strong and enjoyable test.

Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf. Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour.
