Pettersen (Nor) recorded the season's lowest stroke average on the Ladies European Tour. Azahara Munoz (Esp) was second with 70.65; Carlota Ciganda (Esp) was third with 70.76.

Lewis (USA) won her second straight Vare Trophy, recording the season's lowest scoring average on the LPGA Tour. Inbee Park (S Kor) was second with 69.68; Michelle Wie (USA) was third with 69.82.

Lewis (USA) won the LPGA Tour 2014 Money List, with season earnings of $2,539,039 on the Tour. Inbee Park (S Kor) was second with $2,226,641; Lydia Ko (NZ) was third with $2,089,033.

Hull (Eng) won the LET 2014 ISPS Handa Order of Merit, with earnings of €263,096 on the Tour. Gwladys Nocera (Fra) was second with €233,288; Lee-Ann Pace (RSA) was third with €167,005.

Lewis (USA) won her second LPGA Rolex Player of the Year Award, based on a points system for top 10 finishes and performance in Majors. Inbee Park (S Kor) was second with 226 pts; Lydia Ko (NZ) was third with 182 pts.

Lydia Ko (NZ) won the inaugural LPGA Tour season-long points chase, to capture the Race to the CME Globe title and $1 million bonus. Stacy Lewis (USA) was second with 5,650 pts; Michelle Wie (USA) was third with 5,100 pts.
Note: the prestigious season-ending Globe is awarded based on points earned for "above the cut line" finishes during the LPGA Tour season.

Boulden (Wales) won the LET 2014 Omega Rookie of the Year Award as the leading first-season player. She finished 18th on the Tour's (money-based) Order of Merit, with earnings of €83,982.

Ko (NZ) won the LPGA Tour 2014 Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year Award as the leading first-season player. Using a season-long points system (based on finishes in Tour events), Ko accumulated 1,720 pts; Mirim Lee (S Kor) was second with 941 pts. Ko finished third on the LPGA money list, with earnings of $2,089,033.
Women’s (British) Open: the last women’s major championship of the season is hosted by Royal Porthcawl GC. It’s the first time this fabulous seaside links course has hosted the event (July 31-Aug 3).
Walker Cup: the 50th playing of this prestigious men’s amateur event sees the GB&I go head-to-head against the defending USA team at Cypress Point Club, California (Sept 6-7). After that, all eyes turn to Bethpage State Park on Long Island, NY, where the American and defending European professional teams engage in the 45th Ryder Cup (Sept 27-29).
Lottie Woad: 21-year-old Woad burst onto the professional scene in July, with wins in the Women’s Irish Open (as an amateur) and three weeks later in the Women’s Scottish Open (as a professional). She nearly picked-up a major championship, placing third in The Evian in the same month.
Pádraig Harrington: the ever-likeable Irishman added the (British) Senior Open Championship title to his stellar array of tournament successes. His win came on Sunningdale’s spectacular Old Course. Harrington had already bagged the U.S. Senior Open title in June this year.
