64-year-old Bernhard Langer (Ger) won the PGA Tour Champions season-long points chase, to capture a record sixth Charles Schwab Cup and $1 million annuity cheque. Jim Furyk (USA) was second with 3,499,522 pts; Miguel Ángel Jiménez (Esp) was third with 3,051,298 pts. The Cup is awarded based on points earned for top 10 finishes during the PGA Tour Champions wrap-around 2020/21 season. Note: The Charles Schwab Cup was not presented in 2020, following the cancellation of many events (and four major championships) due to the global coronavirus pandemic. The 2020 and 2021 seasons were combined into one, with associated awards being made at the end of the 2020/21 season.

Jim Furyk (USA) won the Byron Nelson Award, recording the 2020/21 season's lowest scoring average (68.84) on the PGA Tour Champions. Bernhard Langer (Ger) was second with 68.96; Kevin Sutherland (USA) was third with 69.14. Note: the 2020 and 2021 PGA Tour Champions seasons were combined into one, with associated awards being made at the end of the wrap-around 2020/21 season. This was necessitated following the cancellation of many 2020 events (and four major championships) due to the global coronavirus pandemic.

Bernhard Langer (Ger) won his eighth straight (and eleventh overall) Arnold Palmer Award as the PGA Tour Champions 2020/21 leading money winner, with earnings of $3,255,499 on the Tour. Jim Furyk (USA) was second with $3,141,663 and Miguel Ángel Jiménez (Esp) third with $2,800,098. Note: the 2020 and 2021 PGA Tour Champions seasons were combined into one, with associated awards being made at the end of the wrap-around 2020/21 season. This was necessitated following the cancellation of many 2020 events (and four major championships) due to the global coronavirus pandemic.

55-year-old Stephen Dodd (Wales) won the 2021 European Senior (Legends) Tour Order of Merit and associated John Jacobs Trophy. Dodd had a season-long tally of 1,830 points. Thomas Levet (Fra) was second with 1,435 pts; Markus Brier (Aut) was third with 1,379 pts.
Note: The 2021 season-ending event (MCB Tour Championship - Mauritius, scheduled for April 1-3, 2022) was rained out in first round, and didn't count towards the Order of Merit.

Bernhard Langer (Ger) won his ninth Jack Nicklaus Award as the PGA Tour Champions Player of the Year (for the wrap-around 2020-21 season), based on the votes of his peers.

European Senior (Legends) Tour Rookie of the Year Award, for the leading first-season player, was not reintroduced in 2021 following its cancellation in 2020 due to the global coronavirus pandemic. The award returned as the Barry Lane Rookie of the Year Award in 2022.
Sony Open in Hawaii: played at Waialae Country Club near Honolulu, the Sony Open takes over the spotlight from The Sentry as the PGA Tour’s calendar-year opening event (Jan 15-18). The Sentry (not being played in 2026) was formerly known as the Tournament of Champions, with a field typically restricted to golfers who won a PGA Tour event in the previous calendar year.
Dubai Desert Classic: the DP World Tour’s first Rolex Series event of 2026, is contested for the 37th time (Jan 22-25). First won by Englishman Mark James in 1989, it now boasts a four-time winner, Rory McIlroy. Played on the Emirates Golf Club’s Majlis course, this once desert-surrounded course is the long-time flagship for Golf in Dubai.
