Individual event: second-placed Somi Lee (S Kor) finished 4 shots behind Atthaya "Jeeno" Thitikul (Thai), who recorded her fifth Ladies European Your win.
Team winners: Team Somi Lee (-34): Somi Lee (S Kor), Minsum Kim (S Kor), Nastasia Nadaud (Fra) & Amy Taylor (Eng). Winning team received $35,000 each. Runners-up: Team Kyriacou (-32): Stephanie Kyriacou (Aus; capt), Olivia Cowan (Ger), Liz Young (Eng) & Sara Kouskova (Czech).

Second-placed Kristyna Napoleaova (Czech) and Johanna Gustavsson (Swe) finished 5 shots behind Georgia Hall (Eng), who recorded her second Ladies European Tour win. Played as the Aramco Saudi Ladies International presented by Public Investment Fund (Nov 4-7). Second-placed Atthaya Thitikul (Thai) finished 5 shots behind Lydia Ko (NZ). Thitikul's second place finish gave her enough points to clinch the season-long LET Order of Merit (Race to Costa del Sol) title for 2021 ... at 18-years-old, the youngest ever winner of this title. Played as the inaugural Aramco Saudi Ladies International presented by Public Investment Fund (Nov 12-15; postponed from March 19-22 due to world coronavirus pandemic). Emily Kristine Pedersen (Den) beat Georgia Hall (Eng) with a birdie at the first playoff hole. [Royal Greens G&CC, King Abdullah EC, Saudi Arabia].
Women’s (British) Open: the last women’s major championship of the season is hosted by Royal Porthcawl GC. It’s the first time this fabulous seaside links course has hosted the event (July 31-Aug 3).
Walker Cup: the 50th playing of this prestigious men’s amateur event sees the GB&I go head-to-head against the defending USA team at Cypress Point Club, California (Sept 6-7). After that, all eyes turn to Bethpage State Park on Long Island, NY, where the American and defending European professional teams engage in the 45th Ryder Cup (Sept 27-29).
Lottie Woad: 21-year-old Woad burst onto the professional scene in July, with wins in the Women’s Irish Open (as an amateur) and three weeks later in the Women’s Scottish Open (as a professional). She nearly picked-up a major championship, placing third in The Evian in the same month.
Pádraig Harrington: the ever-likeable Irishman added the (British) Senior Open Championship title to his stellar array of tournament successes. His win came on Sunningdale’s spectacular Old Course. Harrington had already bagged the U.S. Senior Open title in June this year.
