Bearna Golf Club

3-star: Good course – an enjoyable test for your game.

Est. 1996

Bearna Golf Club (in Irish, Cumann Ghalf Bhearna) is located at the gateway to Connemara in the Gaeltacht, a layout that commands wonderful views of Galway Bay, the Burren and the Aran Islands.

Built on Connemara moorland and peat bog, the captivating course provides an excellent array of golfing challenges, while the rugged surroundings are home to many scenic features, colours, and plant and animal life. In keeping with moorland-style courses, the holes here are defined by grassy rough, gorse bushes and ditches, while humps and bumps, swales and hollows, and twists and turns are found in abundance.
