Golf Club Castello Tolcinasco: In addition to 27 excellent golf holes (and a nine-hole Executive course), you will also find a wonderfully restored 4-tower castle and impressive "courtyard community" of weekend homes here at Tolcinasco.
The golf course itself is large, open and essentially flat, with a reasonable amount of tree planting yet to fully mature - but plenty of thickish grass to provide clinging rough off the fairways. Blue, Yellow and Red nines make up the 27-holes - the first two seemingly the closest in look and feel, although the Red-nine is not too dissimilar, but perhaps the lesser of the three ... by a whisker.
The modern American styling incorporates bunkering and water to very good effect, putting a premium on good course management before you reach the superb greens. The outside world doesn't seem to intrude on this spacious golfing environment, although a large radio tower and the more picturesque distant Alps do make their presence felt.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.
Must book in advance. Handicap required
