18 holes. Tree-lined parkland. Gently undulating terrain - easy to walk.
Residential and urban environment.
Original design by Scottish professional Willie Smith, whose brother Alex finished the project when Willie died of pneumonia in 1916. Redesigned by Percy Clifford & Rodolfo Patrón (1971).
12 km W of central Mexico City.
Club de Golf Chapultepec is one of Mexico's older courses, but certainly not the oldest (that honour goes to Puebla GC, founded in 1897). This private golf club does however enjoy the honour of having hosted the first seven Mexican Open championships.
Close to the heart of Mexico's capital city, this well-maintained and stylishly bunkered parkland layout occupies gently undulating terrain. You'll need to drive accurately from the tee onto the relatively tight tree-lined fairways.
Mexico City's elevation (over 2,200 m above sea level) should take care of some of the course's 7,200 yards ... if you dare to go from the tips. Well worth a visit, providing you can secure that all important member invitation. (More detailed description to follow in due course).
Private club - guests can only play if hosted by a member.
Non-metal spike facility.
Chapultepec has hosted several Mexican Open championship over the years, including 14 of the first 16 such championships between 1944 and 1960. In 2017 it also added a World Golf Championship event to its roll of honour.
