TPC Danzante Bay
TPC Danzante Bay (originally called Danzante Bay Golf Course at Villa del Palmar) is home to a spectacular new clifftop and desert-style layout. Located a 40-minute drive south of Loreto in the state of Baja California Sur, the Rees Jones-designed course faces onto arid mountain terrain and out to the Gulf of California (aka Sea of Cortez).
In a stunning mountain and coastal setting, this immensely scenic golf course moves from mountain canyons, to desert, to the beach and then onto the cliffs. Continually accented by arroyos, dunes and valleys, the ever-changing topography provides panoramic views of Danzante Bay, the Sea of Cortez, the Islands of Loreto and the Sierra de la Giganta mountain range.
Pick of the holes: the canyon holes provide early course highlights, not least at the par-3 3rd. This testing hole plays across a chasm to a green set on a ledge. A dramatic rock face provides the backdrop. Danzante Bay's jaw-dropping show-stopper is the 178-yard par-3 17th. Perched on cliffs high above the sea, it is already being hailed as one of the most iconic holes in the game of golf.
Stay&Play at TPC Danzante Bay: luxury onsite accommodation is available at the co-located Villa del Palmar Resort, see Where2Stay section below.

The nearby city of Loreto was the first Spanish colony to be established on the Baja California peninsula. The settlement was founded in 1697 by Jesuit missionaries, who built the Loreto Mission (or more formally, Misión de Nuestra Señora de Loreto Conchó). The town served as the capital of the Spanish Province of Las Californias until 1777, when the capital was moved to Monterey.
