Palais Royal, Agadir
Golf du Palais Royal d'Agadir is a very private golf course, located in the grounds of the Moroccan royal family's summer palace in Agadir. Although laid out on dunes that face out onto the Atlantic Ocean, the course sits out of public view behind the palace's high walls.
Commissioned by King Hassan II of Morocco, the layout was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr, and his lead designer Cabell Robinson. The excellently crafted holes gently meander over the seaside dunes, with plenty of vegetation lining the way, as well as stylish fairway and greenside bunkering. A few ponds occasionally threaten.
Unless you're acquainted with the Moroccan royal family, the chances of you playing here are very slim indeed. But as a frequently used European Tour venue, the doors to enter this royal facility are not entirely closed.
Limited access: this private course is generally playable only by members of the Moroccan royal family and their invited guests.
Private course; exclusively for the Moroccan royal family and their guests. Definitely no outside visitors.
