Himalayan Golf Course: If a round of golf, as five-time Open champion Peter Thomson once said, should carry with it an element of cross-country safari and a soupçon of adventure, then the "Himalayan" is surely the ultimate package.
After two very ordinary holes, you'll play down from rim-to-river into an extraordinary canyon ... with the fast-running Bijaypur River to be crossed during your round. The dark canyon walls rise several hundred feet from the valley floor, with the spectacular peaks of the Himalayan mountains beckoning in the distance. In view is the Annapurna Range, with three of the world's ten highest mountains adding to the dramatic scenery.
Nowhere delivers that spirit of golfing adventure better than here. Be prepared ... this rugged but immensely scenic layout is not your average parkland golf course!
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.
Must book in advance.

The nearby city of Pokhara, Nepal's second largest, is considered the country's tourism capital. It serves as a base for trekkers undertaking the Annapurna Circuit, the centrepiece of which is the mighty Annapurna Range and three of the world's ten highest mountains ... the beautifully pointed Dhaulagiri (26,795 ft), treacherous Annapurna I (26,545 ft) and the twin-peaked Manaslu (26,781 ft).

Walker Cup: the 50th playing of this prestigious men’s amateur event sees the GB&I go head-to-head against the defending USA team at Cypress Point Club, California (Sept 6-7). After that, all eyes turn to Bethpage State Park on Long Island, NY, where the American and defending European professional teams engage in the 45th Ryder Cup (Sept 27-29).
Lottie Woad: 21-year-old Woad burst onto the professional scene in July, with wins in the Women’s Irish Open (as an amateur) and three weeks later in the Women’s Scottish Open (as a professional). She nearly picked-up a major championship, placing third in The Evian in the same month.
Pádraig Harrington: the ever-likeable Irishman added the (British) Senior Open Championship title to his stellar array of tournament successes. His win came on Sunningdale’s spectacular Old Course. Harrington had already bagged the U.S. Senior Open title in June this year.
