Where2Golf says:
Golfbaan Het Rijk van Nunspeet: The 27 holes here at Nunspeet are among some of the best and tightest wooded heathland holes in the Netherlands. All three nines (North, East and South) are similar in character with only minor differences between them.
Located at the northern end of the famous "Veluwe" natural conservation area (see our Did You Know section below), it's no surprise to find mature pine and fir trees throughout, as well as heather sitting atop the sandy subsoil, and an impressive sand drift, which you walk through at the par-4 6th (North).
The South course arguably has the most undulation, but all three-nines include some wonderfully elevated tee-boxes, as well as tightish tree and heather-lined fairways. Natural mounds and ridges create the need for some semi-blind tee and approach shots, while accurate approach work is required to reach the excellent, though not overly large greens.
The North-East combination is the quietest, with a bit of motorway noise affecting a few holes on the South-nine. This said, the South has some of the most memorable holes, like the tight par-5 2nd, the undulating and also tight par-4 4th and the closing par-5 9th (the only hole with water seriously in play).
This more recent challenger is not quite as renowned as the best of the Netherlands "old" heathland courses. But a days' heathland golf at Nunspeet is to be thoroughly recommended ... just remember to bring your straight-hitting A-game.

The town of Nunspeet is located between the Veluwemeer (a good-size lake to the north-west), and the "Veluwe" to the south ... Netherland's largest area of natural woodland and heathland. This area of "pushed moraine" stretches 60 km from north to south, and reaches heights of up to 110 metres. The Veluwe also features small lakes and some of Europe's largest sand drifts. The cities of Arnhem (to the south) and Apeldoorn (to the east) lie on the edge of this ancient forest.
