From the A12 motorway (Utrecht-Arnhem road) take exit 26 (Arnhem Noord) and follow motel sign to north side of motorway. After o.4 km heading north, turn right at motel sign. After 50m turn left into golf.
Rosendaelsche
Rosendaelsche Golfclub: There is a very special quality about this venerable old course. One excellent hole after another reaches into an expansive area of gently undulating wooded heathland. Beech, birch and pine trees, as well as abundance of heather have flourished here for many generations; now they line the good-width fairways at one of the Netherlands' oldest and best golf courses.
On this superb layout the bunkering is intentionally light, but there's no problem with that. The tree-lined contoured holes and subtle slopes of the greens have enough defences to ensure you don't run off with the course record. Heather topped ridges sometimes create semi-blind shots from the tee, as well as blind approaches to a few greens.
On the more undulating and at times narrower back-nine, you'll encounter some of the finest tree-lined heathland golf holes in the Netherlands. Among the standard bearers are holes like the straight, tight and long par-4 14th and the equally impressive par-5 15th. The downhill par-3 16th is another gem.
Traffic noise from the neighbouring A50 motorway occasionally intrudes on the quiet splendour of this part of the Valkenhuizen forest. But nothing can really detract from the excellence of the golf course itself.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends. Visitors should be NGF members of an A or B golf club, or members of a recognised foreign golf club. Play is in 2- and 3-balls; 4-balls not permitted.
Must book in advance. Maximum handicap: 24 (all visitors).

Rosendaelsche is one of the three oldest golf clubs in the Netherlands, along with Royal Haagsche and Utrechtse "De Pan". Rosendael played host to the Dutch Open championship in 1984, when Bernhard Langer was the winner (see our Tournaments section >by Venue >Rosendael).
The club motto "Qui va droit ne manque" roughly translates as "Who goes straight doesn't miss".

Women’s (British) Open: the last women’s major championship of the season is hosted by Royal Porthcawl GC. It’s the first time this fabulous seaside links course has hosted the event (July 31-Aug 3).
Walker Cup: the 50th playing of this prestigious men’s amateur event sees the GB&I go head-to-head against the defending USA team at Cypress Point Club, California (Sept 6-7).
After that, all eyes turn to Bethpage State Park on Long Island, NY, where the American and defending European professional teams engage in the 45th Ryder Cup (Sept 27-29).
Lottie Woad: 21-year-old Woad burst onto the professional scene in July, with wins in the Women’s Irish Open (as an amateur) and three weeks later in the Women’s Scottish Open (as a professional). She nearly picked-up a major championship, placing third in The Evian in the same month.
Pádraig Harrington: the ever-likeable Irishman added the (British) Senior Open Championship title to his stellar array of tournament successes. His win came on Sunningdale’s spectacular Old Course. Harrington had already bagged the U.S. Senior Open title in June this year.

Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf. Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour.
