Binowo Park Golf Club

3-PLUS: Good course - several memorable features; worthy of 3½ stars.

Est. 1999

Binowo Park Golf Club is one of three top-quality modern parkland golf courses located in Poland's northwestern province of West Pomerania. Of the three, Binowo Park is the closest to the historic city and seaport of Szczecin. Making up this well-rated trio are Modry Las and Amber Baltic.

Predominantly surrounded by quiet woodland and rural countryside, Binowo Park's modern parkland layout will test most facets of your game. The par-4 9th signals the arrival of water hazards, which pose a significant threat throughout much of the back-nine. Only by crossing water will you arrive safely on the good-sized undulating greens at the par-3 12th and 17th holes, par-4 11th and 18th, and par-5 13th. Ponds also threaten alongside the par-5 14th and on both sides of the par-3 15th.

Did you know?

The nearby city of Szczecin (in German "Stettin") is the capital of Poland's northwestern province of West Pomerania. It is the seventh largest city in Poland, and an important seaport, connected to the Baltic Sea (Bay of Pomerania) via the Szczecin Lagoon and West Oder River.

The city's rich and diverse culture owes much to the fact that in the last 1,000 years it has been part of Piast-Poland (the country's origins), Denmark, the Holy Roman Empire, Sweden, Prussia, Germany and nowadays the

(third) Republic of Poland.

Lottie Woad: 21-year-old Woad burst onto the professional scene in July, with wins in the Women’s Irish Open (as an amateur) and three weeks later in the Women’s Scottish Open (as a professional). She nearly picked-up a major championship, placing third in The Evian in the same month.

Pádraig Harrington: the ever-likeable Irishman added the (British) Senior Open Championship title to his stellar array of tournament successes. His win came on Sunningdale’s spectacular Old Course. Harrington had already bagged the U.S. Senior Open title in June this year.
