Est. 2000

Benamor Golf is home to a generally well-regarded golf course, which includes several attractive holes and features. The undulating but not overly hilly terrain is home to a tree-lined and open parkland layout that will test most facets of your game.

Within the quiet surroundings of this housing-free layout, you'll enjoy views onto neighbouring hills, and in the distance, mountains to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the south.

The indigenous and centuries-old olive, cork, carob, fig and almond trees, attractively feature, both from an aesthetic and playing standpoint. Water hazards and sand bunkers are also much in evidence, all contributing to Benamor's enjoyable golfing challenge.

Did you know?

The decision to build a golf course on the land of Quinta de Benamor, near Tavira on Portugal's Algarve, was made in 1986. The Martins Dias family invited the Sir Henry Cotton to make a concept design for an 18-hole course, which eventually opened in 2000. Sir Henry Cotton was inspired by the beautiful old church (which sits next to the clubhouse), and by the wonderful rural location.
