Ribagolfe (Oaks course; formerly known as Ribagolfe II or the Green course): Don't think that just because it was once called Ribagolfe II, that this layout plays second fiddle to Ribagolfe Lakes (formerly known as Ribagolfe I). Although not as long as the Lakes, this is both a delightfully natural course and a tough cookie at the same time.
Cork-oaks (and occasionally eucalyptus trees) create some quite tight fairways on the Oaks layout, where flailing away with the driver may not be your best strategy. Water is only a concern on the par-4 6th and par-5 13th holes, but staying on the short grass and out of the rough will be your main preoccupation - unless that is you are into gathering wild flowers, which you can do in abundance beyond the tightish fairways. Defensive bunkering in front of most greens will often require high-flighted approach play, rather than running the ball in low.
Although the surrounding "open" woodland scenery remains constant throughout, every hole is individually sculpted, ensuring a thoroughly interesting and absorbing round from start to finish. It's recommended that on a first visit to Ribagolfe you try to allow enough time to play both its wonderful courses.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.
