Champagne Sports
Champagne Sports Resort: Few 18-hole championship golf courses enjoy such spectacular mountain scenery as is found here at Champagne Sports. Located in the central Drakensburg area, with a magnificent backdrop provided by the Champagne and Catkin Peaks, this course offers an excellent golfing challenge and a scenic experience that is in itself reward enough.
Whilst badly misdirected shots will be punished, particularly in the wetlands and at the water protected holes, the fairways here are generally wide, bordered by light rough. Hugh Baiocchi's enjoyable layout contains 84 well-located bunkers that add to the course's good looks and overall challenges.
With significant elevation changes at some holes, though less undulation on others, you will be required to make a few blind tee shots, and may find scoring easier on your second and subsequent outings.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.
Must book in advance.
Golf carts available for hire.

There are many activities on offer at Champagne Sports in addition to golf. Mountain walking, mountain biking, cycling, fishing, horse-riding, art studios, sailing and battlefield visiting are just some of the things you can opt for in this marvellously natural setting.
