Best Ocean Golf

3-PLUS: Good course - several memorable features; worthy of 3½ stars.

Est. 2005

Best Ocean Golf: Located quite close to the Bight of Bangkok coastline, this relatively new course at Best Ocean will challenge your shot-making and overall golf game, with large amounts of water to be negotiated and many large bunkers also awaiting any wayward shots. The layout incorporates lush, generous-width fairways and elevated greens; beyond them many lakes and ponds lie in wait, sometimes flanking both sides of the holes. A testing and enjoyable Schmidt-Curley design, with a further 18-holes also planned for this Stay & Play resort location.

Traigh Golf Course (pronounced "try", and meaning "beach" in Gaelic): You'll find this nine-hole seaside gem on the scenic coast road (as opposed to the more inland and quicker A830) between Arisaig and Morar. Although not on the well-beaten path of Scotland's "trophy" courses, if you are passing through this area, it's a must play.
