The Majestic Creek Country Club: Although not a classic championship layout, there are many excellent golf holes on this very natural, scenic and locally designed 27-hole course in the Hua Hin region.
Meandering its way through a large expanse of rural Thai countryside, most holes are flanked on both sides by lush vegetation. The natural contouring of the land defines many holes, while others are supported by a modicum of earthmounding and can be, on occasions, quite tightly tree-lined.
The relatively flat, shallow bunkering doesn't necessarily enhance the attractiveness of the layout, but like the relatively frequent water hazards, they are well placed to ensure your golf game is sufficiently challenged.
A few holes look slightly bland and featureless from the tee, such as the lightly bunkered long par-4 8th (A-course), while others compensate for this by being quite technically demanding - the double dog-legging par-5 18th (9th on B-course) being a good example. With the area's picturesque ranges of tree-clad hills often in view, there is always a pleasant backdrop to proceedings.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends.
Must book in advance.
