Fanning out from Pinehurst Resort's impressive clubhouse, are five of the Resort's ten 18-hole golf courses: No.1 course (par-70, 6089 yds from back tees); No.2 course (U.S. Open venue, par-72, 7588 yds); No.3 course (par-70, 5722 yds); No.4 course (par-72, 7117 yds); No.5 course (par-72, 6848 yds). Also adjacent to the clubhouse is the 9-hole Cradle course (par-27, 789 yds, designed by Gil Hanse) and 18-hole Thistle Dhu putting course.
Located within two miles of this central clubhouse, and separate from each other, are four more Pinehurst Resort courses: No.6 course (par-72, 7053 yds); No.7 course (par-72, 7216 yds); No.8 course (Centennial, par-72, 7092 yds) and No.9 course (formerly National GC, par-72, 7118 yds).
5 miles to the south lies the Resort's newest 18-hole course, the Tom Doak designed No.10 (formerly The Pit Golf Links).

From the Pinehurst traffic circle (intersection of the US-15-501, 211 and 2) follow the US-15-501 North direction Carthage. After o.7 miles turn right into Juniper Creek Blvd. After 1.3 miles golf clubhouse is on your left.
Pinehurst No.6
Pinehurst No.6 Golf Course: Although the revered No.2 course invariably commands most of the headlines, the No.6 course is not to be overlooked when visiting Pinehurst. Here in the heart of the North Carolina Sandhills, Tom Fazio took two bites at designing this much admired layout.
The original design was a collaborative effort with his uncle, George Fazio. In 2005 Tom returned to add new bunkers, soften some angles and create faster greens. The addition of native wiregrass throughout the course further strengthened its distinctive Pinehurst feel.
The two out-and-back, nine-hole loops of No.6 contain many fabulous golf holes. Lined with pine trees and sandy waste areas, some holes feature spectacular elevation changes. Others are threatened by small lakes and ponds. Gently sweeping dog-leg holes add to a layout that's full of interest and variety. Each hole is memorable in its own right.
The challenging back-nine feels more natural and scenic, and contains some of the layout's best holes. Among them the par-5 10th and par-4 14th both require accuracy from the tee rather than length to set up knee-trembling carries over water to reach their respective greens. Residential properties are more in evidence on the front-nine, although even here they tend to discreetly blend into the hole-lining pines and dogwoods.
Stylish fairway and greenside bunkering, well-paced undulating greens, good-width fairways and top quality green-keeping are all hallmarks of this "Team-Fazio" contribution to Pinehurst's stunning collection.

When it opened in 1979, the No.6 course quickly gained the reputation as the most difficult of the Pinehurst nine, especially as it stretched to nearly 7,200 yards from the championship tees.
Tom Fazio returned in 2004 to revamp some of the layout that he and his uncle George Fazio had originally created. With funding not quite as constrained as in the late 1970s, Tom Fazio's second bite at the No.6 has put in place one of Pinehurst's most memorable golf courses.

Scottie Scheffler: narrowly missed out on matching Nelly Korda's five wins in five starts, when he placed second at the Houston Open. Either side of that, he won The Arnold Palmer, The Players, and then The Masters and The Heritage.

Jim Fazio's original layout was much changed to create a modern Ryder Cup course ... now one of the Eternal City's (and Italy's) most revered.
Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf. Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour. The three nine-hole loops at Prince's, laid out over gently undulating terrain, are sure to bring a smile of satisfaction to all lovers of links golf.
