Geneva National Golf Club (Palmer course): Just a short drive from metropolitan Chicago and Milwaukee, Geneva National is a natural haven where golfers can enjoy their game and the serenity of the setting.
The club features 54-holes of golf, laid out in three excellent courses designed separately by Arnold Palmer, Gary Player and Lee Trevino. Carved out of the rolling Wisconsin countryside, the layouts take full advantage of their natural woodland and open countryside surroundings.
The Arnold Palmer Signature course is one that ranks with some of Wisconsin's best. This tree-lined and open parkland layout provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy. A must play if you are in the area. The Palmer course also includes a couple of holes played directly alongside Lake Como. A must visit golf club if you are in the area.
Visitors welcome on weekdays and weekends during golf season (March thru' mid-Nov, weather dependent).
Must book in advance.
Golf carts compulsory on all courses.

Geneva National overlooks Wisconsin's Lake Como, where in the roaring 20s, gambling and drinking were freely available in the bars around the lake. In the 1930s prohibition stopped many of these practices in public, but "speak-easies" became prominent on both the south and north shores of the lake. Many gangsters, including opposing mobsters Al Capone and Bugs Moran, could be found in the area, which was conviniently close to Chicago but across the state border in Wisconsin.
