Mossy Oak Golf Club: the small city of West Point, Mississippi was previously home to one of the best golf courses in the Magnolia state ... Old Waverly. Now it has two highly-rated layouts, under the banner of "The Golf Clubs of Mississippi". The George & Marcia Bryan family commissioned renowned golf course architect Gil Hanse to add a second championship layout (Mossy Oak), right next door to Old Waverly.
For the Mossy Oak layout, Hanse went to great lengths to craft a relatively open and "pure" golf experience that resonates with the local Mississippi "Black Prairie" habitat. Whereas Old Waverly is generally accessible only on a Stay&Play basis, its new companion, the Mossy Oak course can be played on a daily fee or Stay&Play basis.

Mossy Oak Golf Club is the official practice facility for the Mississippi State University (MSU) men’s and women’s golf teams ... the Bulldogs! The facility includes a five-green driving range, short-game training areas and a 16,000 square foot putting green formed into the shape of the State of Mississippi. MSU also has use of its own golf course, which is located near Starkville, 16 mi southwest of Mossy Oak. Starkville is the location of MSU's main campus.

Each of the cottages comprises four private rooms with a private bath, TV, etc. A common living area is in the center of each cottage with a sitting area, wet bar, coffee and ice maker. Each villa and condominium provides a private home with bedrooms, baths, kitchen, laundry and living area.

Women’s (British) Open: the last women’s major championship of the season is hosted by Royal Porthcawl GC. It’s the first time this fabulous seaside links course has hosted the event (July 31-Aug 3).
Walker Cup: the 50th playing of this prestigious men’s amateur event sees the GB&I go head-to-head against the defending USA team at Cypress Point Club, California (Sept 6-7). After that, all eyes turn to Bethpage State Park on Long Island, NY, where the American and defending European professional teams engage in the 45th Ryder Cup (Sept 27-29).
Lottie Woad: 21-year-old Woad burst onto the professional scene in July, with wins in the Women’s Irish Open (as an amateur) and three weeks later in the Women’s Scottish Open (as a professional). She nearly picked-up a major championship, placing third in The Evian in the same month.
Pádraig Harrington: the ever-likeable Irishman added the (British) Senior Open Championship title to his stellar array of tournament successes. His win came on Sunningdale’s spectacular Old Course. Harrington had already bagged the U.S. Senior Open title in June this year.

Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf. Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour.
