Hershey CC (East)
Hershey Country Club's East course is one of two 18-hole layouts in the "Hershey Collection". Sitting alongside this highly-regarded layout is the also well-rated, older and shorter West course. Guests staying at the Hotel Hershey or Hershey Lodge enjoy access to both these member-only layouts.
Hershey Country Club's East course is the longest and most challenging in the Hershey collection. Players will enjoy a layout with elevated greens, three small lakes, and more than 100 bunkers through which to manoeuvre. This lightly tree-lined parkland layout provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy. In recent times, many top level tournaments have been hosted on this modern and demanding layout.
A mile away from the Country Club, and open to the public, you'll find the chocolatier's nine-hole Spring Creek course. Until 2013 the collection also included the Hershey Links. This open British-style layout was also operated on a public access basis but shut down in 2013 to make way for student housing.

Excellent
Hershey CC's East course played host to the US PGA Nationwide Tour from 1997 until 2004. From 1997-99 the tournament was staged as the Nike Hershey Open, in 2000 and 2001 as the Buy.com Hershey Open, in 2002 as the Hershey Open and in 2003 and 2004 as the Reese's Cup Classic.
Hershey CC is a member of the Audubon International Certified Cooperative Sanctuary programme. The city of Hershey was originally named Derry Church, but was renamed Hershey in 1906 after the growing popularity of the Hershey's Chocolate company.

Sony Open in Hawaii: played at Waialae Country Club near Honolulu, the Sony Open takes over the spotlight from The Sentry as the PGA Tour’s calendar-year opening event (Jan 15-18). The Sentry (not being played in 2026) was formerly known as the Tournament of Champions, with a field typically restricted to golfers who won a PGA Tour event in the previous calendar year.
Dubai Desert Classic: the DP World Tour’s first Rolex Series event of 2026, is contested for the 37th time (Jan 22-25). First won by Englishman Mark James in 1989, it now boasts a four-time winner, Rory McIlroy. Played on the Emirates Golf Club’s Majlis course, this once desert-surrounded course is the long-time flagship for Golf in Dubai.
Our visit last month included two rounds at Golf de Chantilly, one of France’s most prestigious clubs.
It offers two superb layouts: Le Vineuil, a five-star championship course with a rich history, and Longères, an excellent four-star course that provides a strong and enjoyable test.
The wider Paris region offers plenty more. Courses such as Fontainebleau, Golf de Saint-Germain, and several other top-rated layouts make this area one of Europe’s most rewarding golf destinations, offering a mix of woodland, heathland, and parkland designs.
The Dutch: "It's no' just a game", as they say in Scotland, and that's certainly true at The Dutch. With 5-star services throughout, a lavishly comfortable Loch Lomond-inspired clubhouse, and a superbly designed and presented golf course, one could not ask for more from this top-end private club.
