Trinity Forest Golf Club: located a short drive from the centre of Dallas, and surrounded by thick forest to the north of the Trinity River, Coore-Crenshaw's design was created explicitly to attract prestigious golf championships back to Dallas. This it did. Opening in 2016, the course hosted the PGA Tour in 2018 and 2019.
Occupying a small and curiously open section of the Great Trinity Forest, the classic links-style layout effortlessly meanders through an open meadow of rolling sandy terrain. Its openness and styling reflects the windswept courses of Britain & Ireland or those of the northeastern United States.
Limited access: this private course is generally playable only by members and their invited guests.
Private club; visitors/guests may only play if hosted by a member.
Built specifically for top-level tournament play as well as for the enjoyment of its members, Trinity Forest briefly became home to the PGA Tour's Byron Nelson Classic in 2018 and 2019. The 2020 event was cancelled due to the world coronavirus pandemic (see our Tournaments section >by Venue >Trinity Forest).
Trinity Forest is the home course of the collegiate golfers of Southern Methodist University (SMU), known as the "The Mustangs".
Texas's 7th best course (Golf Digest, 2023/24).
