Solheim Karsten played his first round of golf at age 42. As a natural inventor and engineer, he developed the very popular Anser putter in the mid-1960's. (Answer didn't fit on the putter, so the "w" was left off). Under the brand name, PING, his putters have won more than 2000 professional tournaments. He is the founder of the Solheim Cup, first played in 1990.
