Ignacio Garrido was born into a famous Spanish golfing family. His father Antonio Garrido was a five-time European Tour winner, and Ryder Cup player in 1979. His uncle German Garrido (Antonio's younger brother) was also a professional golfer, and two-time winner of the Madrid Open.
