Played as the Joburg Ladies Open (April 16-19; LET/Sunshine Ladies Tour event). Agathe Laisné (Fra) beat Kirsten Rudgeley (Aus) at the fifth playoff hole (par-5 18th), to record her second Ladies European Tour win. Casandra Alexander (RSA) was eliminated at the first playoff hole. With light fading, the 18th was shortened to just a 78-yard pitch&putt hole when played for the fifth time in the playoff. Rhodes recorded back-to-back Ladies European Tour wins; her first LET win coming two weeks earlier. [Modderfontein GC, nr Johannesburg, Gauteng, RSA].

Second-placed Ana Peláez Triviño (Esp) and Moa Folke (Swe) finished 2 shots behind 20-year-old Lily May Humphreys (Eng), who recorded her first Ladies European Tour win in her 27th start on the Tour. Played as the inaugural Joburg Ladies Open (Mar 24-26; LET/Sunshine Ladies Tr event). Second-placed Kim Metraux (Sui) finished 5 shots behind 22-year-old LET rookie Linn Grant (Swe), who recorded her first Ladies European Tour win in her first event as a full-member of the Tour. The victory was her third in four events on the Sunshine Ladies Tour; she also won the Dimension Data Ladies Challenge (Feb 11-13) and the Jabra Ladies Classic (Feb 23-25). Presidents Cup: Geoff Ogilvy’s International Team take on Brandt Snedeker’s USA Team at the revered Medinah Country Club, near Chicago. The Internationals are trying to halt a run of 11 consecutive American wins. (Sept 24-27).
French Open: Continental Europe’s oldest national championship, dating from 1906, is once again staged on the Albatros Course at Le Golf National, near Paris. Defending champion is America’s Michael Kim. (Sept 24-27).

Here at Prince’s Golf Club you'll find 27 excellent holes of links golf. Just over the fence and sharing similar terrain is Royal St George’s; but Prince’s is far from overshadowed by its venerable neighbour.
